"but the people would not receive Him, because his face was set toward Jerusalem." Luke 9:53
Each Tuesday evening during Lent, a guest speaker will present a concise overview of the above passage from
Saint Luke's Gospel of how to set our faces to receive Jesus throughout Lent. The evening will begin at 6:00
p.m. with Stations of the Cross, followed by a soup and bread Lenten meal (freewill offering) and then the
speaker will make his presentation for twenty minutes, followed by a period of questions and discussion by
those present. Each evening will end by 7:30 p.m. and a nursery will be provided, beginning at 6:00 p.m. A sign
up sheet to provide three soups and bread each Tuesday will be posted for your participation. Come and join us
this Lent as we journey together during these 40 days as we seek the one, true, living God made known in Jesus
Christ our Lord. Come and bring a friend or two.
